Dr Sarah Glastras is an Endocrinologist, and Research Fellow affiliated with the University of Sydney and Royal North Shore Hospital. She is undertaking a PhD in the area of metabolic dysregulation and obesity, aiming to determine the molecular mechanisms that underlie the contribution of obesity towards end organ damage, in particular chronic kidney disease. Her research interests further comprise the contribution of the maternal in utero environment towards the future risk of offspring developing complex conditions such as diabetes and chronic kidney disease.
